Check any round yourself

Before each round runs we publish a seal. After it ends we publish the key it was made from. Anyone can hash the key and see it makes the seal, then redo the arithmetic that turned the key into the crash. No account, no permission, no asking us.

How to check one, in three steps

  1. Pick a round below and open its link. That is the open endpoint — it answers anybody.
  2. Take the key it returns and hash it with SHA-256. The answer must equal the seal shown here, which was published before the round ran.
  3. Hash the key forward to the start of its segment and you land on the commitment we published before any of these rounds existed.

A round that has not finished is refused, in words, with the seconds remaining. The key does not exist to be given out early — that is the whole point of publishing the seal first.
